What Electives to Choose

Nowadays, more and more universities are opening more opportunities for their students to choose from various optional courses in their spare time. This is, in fact, not a new phenomenon, but presently, it is of different implications to the students who want to or need to improve themselves.
There can be a great many different reawsons to choose their optional courses. For example, some of them may choose some courses on practical skills so that it will be more likely for them to get a good job after graduation, because nowadays companies are placing emphasis on a candidate's working experience, an inseparable part of which is practical skills. However, some others may choose to learn some courses. like literatjre, philosophy, etc., to broaden their view and find a different way of looking at things. And still some others may choose the electives just in that they are interested in the courses.
Personally, I prefer to choose courses which can enrich my knowledge of science and society, and even of ourselves as human beings, whether the courses can be of any pratical uses does not make any big differrence to me, because I think "To learn is fun!"

Setting up kinds of selected courses is a shared idea in the university. The action is aimed at broadening students’ views, enriching knowledge outside the major and fostering the students’ full potential. The selected courses are usually involved the basic lessons for one science, because the farther study should learned by student himself.  

 

The reasons for the courses choose may be different. Some choose the course by their interests. They like to know other subjects towards the way or compensate the shame that their majors are not their favors. Their interests lead to their choice. Some choose the course just for his classmate have chosen. They want to find a partner to attend the course and deal with the academic problems together. Some else choose the course for they want to kill time. Not matter what reasons for the selected courses, it reaches the aim to set up selected courses for the university.

 

When I was in the university, the selected course I choose is Chinese. For I was a student majored in Engineer. The Chinese course is the weakness of me and I want to improve the situation. Have a selected course enriched my campus life.

Selective Courses

Selective courses seem is not my own thing ,because I only a middle school 'student !But my teacher often tell me about Seletive courses ,she often say :"Boy aways choose Science in courses ,but girl aways choose Liberal Arts in courses .It is easy to think ,because boy love somethings can see ,can touch ;that girl love art ."

I think ,give me a choice ,I should choose Liberal Arts ,even though I am a boy ,because I really love writing .I think we should not heedless to choose courses ,it is very important in our life ,I should not heedless to choose courses ,such as I see my friends will be choose Science ,so I also choose Sciense .We should think we really like which courses ,have interesting at which courses .

    With the development of the education,more and more changes about the educated way are carried out.It is more obvious in campus.Instead of the courses all decided by the school,now,besides the required subjects,college supplys kinds of selective courses for students.

    Nowsdays,college students are ao lucky.They can choose the courses whatever they want to learn.Of course,the required subjects are must to be learned.In my college,there are more than a hundred selective courses for you to choose about art,computer,language,entertainment,science and so on.For example,thought it might be useful for getting a job,you maybe want to learn something about computer,you should get a course like C++ or somgthing others.If you want to improve your English or maybe you plan to go on learning in abroad,the additional English courses are you needed.Maybe the course Listening and speaking,writing English,etc.In additional,you can learn dancing or play musical instruments.

    I choosed the course Art Appreciation.That is my interest.I get some beautiful memorys in that course.And now,for need,I choose the subject that teach me search foreign articles and screening the informations and other courses useful for my post-graduate work.Now,all my courses are end both required subjects and selective courses.It's time to do experiment.

At present,it is popular that more and more students which are at school to selective course in their spare time.Especially,these phenomenon occur in the university.And usually,this is advocated by the educator.

I think that every body has the personal reasons to choose the optional courses.For most of student may choose to some courses on practical skill so that it will help them for obtaining more chance of the good job. For the candidate, because the working experience and pratical skills is emphasised by the many companies.But for the rest of student,some of them may choose to learn others courses.For instance,literature,philosophy,psychology and etc…,This knowledge will help them to expand their view and elaborative faculty.At last,they otain the more opporunity to apply for the higher degree.Another of them may choose the optional coureses which they are interested in to spend the bored time and relax body and mind.

With the policy of education improving,more and more students have the opporunity to enter the university learning.Meanwhile,it means that more and more graduate swarm into the society.The competition being become more and more intensely.Therefore, it is necessary and sensible to chosse the type of optional course.

Nowadays (as I know, long time before), almost every university and college provides many selective courses to their students besides the major courses. These courses are diverse and really practical for the students to enrich their knowledge and experiences.

 

Everybody can choose the courses according to his need and interest. If you feel it useful to master a foreign language when you step into the society after graduation, you can choose Japanese, French, and Spanish… No matter what you are interested in, you can get the according courses freely and easily. It is really a great advantage provided by school we should cherish.

 

For myself, I regret very much that I didn't take advantage of this valuable opportunity to learn Japanese or French. The time I should use to select the courses I am interested in had been spent on chatting and games. When I began my work, I find it couldn't be better if you master another more language, because in our country the talented persons who master another language are always very popular and rare compared with the vast requirements from foreign companies since we reformed and opened our doors to the world from 1978.

 

Please value and make full use of the opportunity if you are still at school. If you do, you can't imagine how much you will benefit from this.

In order to widen students' horison, enrich their life, and develop their personality , more and more universities carry out selective courses. With time going by, selective courses are becoming more and more popular with the university students. They learn a lot from these courses. Their life become colorful owing to it. However, not everything is so smooth. There are a large portion of them don't take selective courses seriously. Some of them attend classes occasionly or at their will. Some are not well prepared for classes, as a result, they get low grades ,somtimes, even cheat in examinations. Most of them don't like them at all because they choose these courses only under others' influences. In my opinion, now that you have chosen something, you should keep to it and never give it up easily.

     There are a great deal of reasons to choose the optional courses.For example,some of them may choose  some optional courses they like,so that increase your knowledge of optional courses,and also can satisfied your needs.However,some others may choose some optional courses according to their ability.If they may concentrate on it and learn it very well,furthermore,they  can mak use of the chances of practising to get more valuable experience,in order to improve your abilities.so that it will be more likely for them to get o good job after graduation.
       How to choose the optional courses?Everyone both have their own minds,I just offer some suggestion and ideas,but I hope you can think about it carefully.

Nowdays,more and more university can provided some opportunity for the students to take as an elective course as the stuation of ourself. in the spare time.This is a advancement in the educate of university.

 

For different students select the different course have the different thought.for sake of the different season,the student have select some course have help the work when they graduated in the university;others choose some course for sake of the research when they need the deelp to learn;some students just because they interst in this course;in sum ,many reason have urge student choose different course.

 

In my opinion,for example as me,in the univerysity my majoy is commerce managerment,I not only learned my majoy course ,but also i can choose the compurter as my selective course.for this choose,i think the computer is very important in our life,no matter in the study or work it is very useful.now,i have been worked,i think the selective course when i choose is very useful.Now,my work dind't leave the computer,everyday i can use it.

 

At last,i think everyone can basis the interst and use of future to choose the selective course.

Most of universities are opened with selective course,there're kinds of selective course in the university.Generally,elective course could be divided with three parts. The first one is the public elective course,everyone could choose it,it's the most simplest elective course,it doesn't have test. The second is the basis of elective subject,it is related to the professional.According to your own interest choose it. The third is non-professinal elective course,like"History,Mental Health,C++",and so on. There are many reasons to choose elective course for students,most sutdents choose useful elective course after graduation,so that it improve their skills. Interesting is very important to me if I could choose elective course. I'd like to choose Mental Health.

As a college student,you have to select some optional courses.

In my opinion,first, select courses should be based on interest. Interest is the best teacher. Second, it should be based on your major and future work. The courses can enrich your knowledge and broaden your view.You will have privillage advantage to get a good job .
